Description

Open to matriculated business majors in certificate or degree programs in Office Administration and Technology, Management, Computer Information Systems, Health Care Office Administration, Microsoft Office Applications Proficiency Preparation, and Accounting/Office Administration Technology. Students should have completed half or more of the required credits for their program, and be able to obtain recommendations from two of their instructors. Students planning to register for the internship should contact the business faculty coordinator in their area in the semester prior to registering.The cooperative education experience in business includes employment in a field experience or internship which supplements classroom theory and laboratory instruction with related on-the-job professional training. Students are placed with selected cooperative employers for a specified number of hours (minimum 135 hours). Students participate in seminars and submit a term paper or report related to the work experience. A written evaluation by the employer is also required. Students receive a grade of Pass or Fail.
