Placement in Mathematics and English

Before taking credit-bearing courses in college-level mathematics and English composition, students must be evaluated for their readiness for those courses. Students who are ready for those courses are said to be "proficient" in math and/or English. Please see Proficiency in Math and English for details.

Additionally, students for whom English may not be their first language must be evaluated for their readiness to take college-level courses in English.
