Programs of Study
The College offers thirty one Associate degree transfer curricula in the liberal arts and sciences (A.A. and A.S.) and thirteen in career and pre-professional areas (A.A.S.). It also offers two specialized Certificate programs. Transfer programs, which also include ten Dual/Joint Transfer degree programs, are designed for students who plan to continue their education beyond the Associate degree level. Queensborough’s transfer programs are equivalent to the first two years of study in a senior college. Graduates of these programs are prepared to enter a senior college at the junior class (third-year) level in the same subject area.
Career programs provide the academic foundation and specific training to students who plan to begin or advance in employment immediately after graduation.
The curricula with the largest enrollments are:
Health Sciences (A.S.)
Liberal Arts and Sciences (A.A.)
Business Administration (A.S.)
Criminal Justice (Dual/Joint A.S./B.S. degree program with the John Jay College of Criminal Justice)
Psychology (A.S.)
Computer Science and Information Security (Dual/Joint A.S./B.S. program with the John Jay College of Criminal Justice)
All graduates of Queensborough are eligible to transfer to a senior college within CUNY to continue their education. Transfer agreements are also in place with SUNY institutions and many other colleges in the metropolitan area.
