A.A.S. in Nursing (QCC) leading to the B.S. in Nursing (Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing/CUNY)

Clinical students in course may apply for the Dual/joint Degree Program in Nursing with Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. Admission to the program is extremely competitive and will be based on the student’s GPA and overall academic work. A student must receive a faculty recommendation indicating a strong clinical performance in course. In addition to the courses required for their A.A.S. degree, students will be encouraged to complete additional liberal arts, science, and humanities courses that can be applied to the B.S. degree. Students will be guided in the selection of these courses by an advisor to maximize the courses that meet the general education, as well as the pluralism and diversity, graduation requirements for the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing.

Due to a federal restriction against issuing F-1 student visas for international students in online programs, students applying to this program must provide documentation of one of the following categories:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Permanent Residency

  • Granted asylum, refugee status, temporary protected status, withholding of removal, deferred enforced departure, or deferred action status by the U.S. Government

Students who require an F-1 visa to study in the United States are eligible to apply to the York College Dual/Joint A.A.S. to B.S. Nursing degree program and the standard A.A.S. in Nursing degree program.
