Description
What makes life worth living? This course presents an introduction to the new positive psychology field, which focuses on positive experiences, traits, and institutions that allow humans to thrive and flourish. Positive psychology brings a fundamental shift away from the treatment of pathology to a focus on improving quality of life. The course will review foundational positive psychology topics including but not limited to happiness, character strengths, flow, creativity, and wellness. To enhance concept retention and application, students will practice evidence-based interventions from positive psychology to test their efficacy in everyday life.
