Cooperative Education in Speech, Theater, and Media Communication

Description

Open only to matriculated students who have completed at least 24 credits with an index of 2.0 in Liberal Arts and Sciences and are recommended by the Department. The cooperative education experience in speech and media communication is designed to provide the student with an apprentice training opportunity in such areas as speech arts and science, theatre production, cable and commercial broadcasting, and other media, either in or outside of the College. Evaluation of the cooperative education experience will be determined by periodic review of the student log or diary, participation in required conferences and monthly seminars, plus a written evaluation by the employer. Students will earn a grade of Pass or Fail. Students will engage in a field experience of a minimum of 90 hours for 2 credits and 180 hours for 4 credits
