Students will learn to define information needs, access information through the design and implementation of effective search strategies, and identify and utilize a variety of online and print resources. They will acquire skills in the organization and communication of information, as well as the use of objective criteria to evaluate resources. The correct use and importance of citations will also be addressed, along with the ethical use of information with concomitant economic, legal and social issues.
