This course extends the study of communications primarily toward digital communications. Areas covered include serial and parallel communications concepts, pulse modulation methods,codes, error detection and error correction, communications protocols, networks, multiplexing and communications channels, including wire line, wireless, and fiber optic channels. Laboratory hours complement class work.
