This course is an overview of Greek and Roman myths and their historical background. It shows the Eastern origins of many Greek and Roman myths and their influence on Western civilizations. The myths will be analyzed and discussed, and they will be placed in the context of their invention and their use by different periods and civilizations. Throughout the course, reference will be made to the adaptation of ancient Greek and Roman myths today.
